Tuffy Dog Toys - Dinosaur Series Construction:
Seven Rows of Stitching Tuffy Dog Toys can have up to 7 rows of stitching. The number and rows of stitching depend on the shape, size, and style of the toy. Two directions of cross stitching hold the multiple layers together. Rows of stitching hold the webbing around the edge of the material, and the toys' parts are sewn together with up to 3 rows of stitching. When possible, a protective webbing is added around the outer edge and sewn up to 3 more times.
Four Layers of Material Tuffy Dog Toys can have up to 4 layers of material depending on the shape, size, and style of the toy. Our Ultimate series can have up to 2 layers of Luggage grade material. Certain layers of material are coated with a layer of plastic to hold the material fibers together. Finally, we use soft fleece for the outside layer.
Protective webbing For our Ultimate series we add an additional layer of webbing, whenever possible around the outside edge to cover the seams of the toy. This is sewn multiple times, for added durability.
Squeaker Safety Pockets Squeakers are sewn into material pockets inside the toy. This additional layer of safety can give you the time you need to safely remove the toy in the event your dog reaches the core of the toy.
These Tuffy Dog Toys are machine washable (air dry) and float.

This is a great quality toy that should last for ages. I think my pittie is a little intimidated by its size, she hasn't shown much interest yet
I have a 1 year old German Sheprador.. He has located the weakness of ALL his tuffy toys, and that is their webbing that they use. Once he has gotten through that, it is only a matter of time.
The toys themselves are amazing. They hold up well in terms of the fabric getting chewed on, the quilting of the material is a concern as that seems to pop out easily. I don't think that the stitching on that is tight/close enough to really help at all... But I know it is to keep the fabric layers together.
The webbing on the toy is where it is a problem. The stitching is too far in, and the stuffing is so much that the stitching is already stressed.
I find myself mainly repairing the webbing on these toys, and then it lasts longer.
I am also at a loss for what this toy is filled with.... It doesn't burn like a type of cotton polyfill.... and the material burns almost like it is a plasticy byproduct. I've tried to look on the site, but it doesn't say.
We by no means allow him to chew without supervision on any toy. And I have already temporarily retired the Shark.... Lobster.... and a tuffy ring until I can restitch the webbing on those toys. At least my Singer Heavy Duty machine is getting it's moneys worth, and with a little bit of work, so do these toys.
My dog loves playing with the T-Rex. It is very tough. He runs around the yard with it, wrestles with it, and chews on it, and it is still in great condition after a few weeks.
AMAZING!! I have 2 Great Pyrenees and they have yet to destroy this toy. And they have destroyed a lot of others I’ve purchased.
This is so far the most durable toy my dog has had. I have a 2 year old Doberman, full of energy, destroys any toy in 5 minutes. I used to hesitate in buying toys for her since none would last and i would spend money on a 5 minute present. I am very happy with this dino and my dog loves it, it's been playing with it for 3 days now and it's intact.
